Clarkson’s Shipley Center to Co-Host “Point Positive 101” Workshop & Pitch Event Friday

The North Country Innovation Hotspot Program at Clarkson’s Shipley Center and Point Positive, an angel investor group founded in Saranac Lake, are joining forces to present a day of workshops for emerging entrepreneurs and angel investors on Friday, September 14, 2018 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Antique Boat Museum, 750 Mary Street, Clayton, N.Y. The day will culminate with a Pitch Event, where up to 3-4 teams of entrepreneurs will compete for prize money and a chance to present to Point Positive’s Member Investors at their Fall Pitch Event on Monday, October 15.

If you are an entrepreneur interested in gaining the tools to put together a persuasive pitch to attract investors and other stakeholders, or are interested in becoming an angel investor, or are a current angel investor looking to hone your skills, this workshop is for you.

Previous attendees said that “the key ingredients that an angel investor is looking for in an opportunity were laid out in these presentations but cannot be stressed enough….the addressable market, the product or solution, the background of the founders/management team, etc.” And they felt the presentations were, “very informative and the topics were very relevant to pitching to angel investors.”

To register, go to https://pointpositive101.com/register. There will be a $25 registration fee due at the door.
