Dear faculty/staff member,
The Chief Academic Officers of the Associated Colleges of the St. Lawrence Valley (ACSLV) would like to invite you and your spouse/partner to a meet and greet with leaders of local community service agencies.
The meet and greet is being held on Wednesday, September 19th, from 4-6 pm, at SUNY Potsdam’s Thatcher Hall (building #24 as shown on the campus map). Parking details will be sent out later in a reminder email.
The North Country enjoys the energy, vision, and talent of many nonprofit and service organizations for the arts, social services, recreation, health, the environment, and other functions vital for a healthy community. With limited dollars and careful use of their resources, these organizations often rely on good will and word-of-mouth to help community members become acquainted with them, and perhaps make connections for volunteerism and other purposes.
In attending the meet and greet, you will be able to meet the representatives of community service agencies, learn more about what these agencies do, consider volunteer or other opportunities, and establish even stronger ties to our wonderful communities. It also provides as an opportunity for you to meet and mingle with faculty and staff from the ACSLV member institutions (SUNY Canton, St. Lawrence University, Clarkson University and SUNY Potsdam).
The ACSLV is sponsoring this meet and greet as a service to our employees and to strengthen community organizations that do so much.
Light refreshments will be served and a cash bar will be available, with the first beverage being complimentary.
