The Golden Knights’ nationally-ranked Men’s and Women’s Hockey teams hold their home openers at Cheel Arena this weekend to start an exciting season of Division I hockey in Potsdam.

With a successful start on the road this past weekend, the two-time defending NCAA National Champion Clarkson Women’s Hockey team opens the home portion of its schedule hosting Robert Morris. The Golden Knights will face off against the Colonials on Friday at 6:00 p.m. and again on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. Clarkson displayed its high-powered offense in the two-game sweep over Bemidji State in Minnesota this past weekend, skating by the Beaver 5-1 on Friday and posting a 5-3 victory on Saturday.

Mark Your Calendars – Clarkson will hold its third NCAA National Championship Banner Day Ceremony in five years when the Green and Gold raise the 2018 Banner to go alongside the 2014 and 2017 Banners on Saturday, October 20 prior to the 3:00 p.m. non-league game against St. Lawrence.
Coming off its best season in 10 years Clarkson Men’s Hockey will look to continue the momentum it generated last winter when the Green and Gold skated to a 23-11-6 overall record.
Clarkson hosts the University of Guelph on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. for the first of 17 games at Cheel.
Ranked 17th in USCHO.com Preseason Poll, the Golden Knights return 17 lettermen from a squad that finished third in the ECAC Hockey regular season standings with a 12-5-3 record, went on a 14-game winning streak which is third longest in school history, and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2008.
