Wentao Wu Appointed Assistant Professor of Economics and Financial Studies at Clarkson University

Wentao Wu has been appointed assistant professor of economics and financial studies at Clarkson University.

He received his bachelor’s degree in business English and bachelor’s of science degree in economics from Nanjing University of Science and Technology in China. He received his master’s degree in accountancy from the George Washington University and his Ph.D. in finance from Louisiana State University. Wu is a Certified Public Accountant.

Wu concentrates his research on empirical corporate finance, IPOs and equity financing, financial reporting, disclosure, and capital markets. He has written extensively about venture capital, IPO lockup expirations and tax costs for multinational firms.

Prior to joining Clarkson, he worked in the tax and financial investment industries. He is a member of the American Finance Association, Financial Management Association, and the American Accounting Association.
