Fall Workshop Series Continues TODAY

Dear Clarkson Faculty and Staff,

REMINDER: The Clarkson University Libraries will continue our fall workshop series today at 5pm in Rowley Lab 142 or remotely by Adobe Connect with The Good, The Bad & The Ugly: Tips for Evaluating Sources. (To attend remotely please click here.)

Geared toward students, this workshop will answer questions such as what is the difference between a scholarly source and a news source? What is peer review? How do I evaluate sources I find on the web?

This workshop will help answer these questions and ensure your students are using the best sources for their next research project.

Other planned workshop topics include:

  • Getting Published & Avoiding Predatory journals

  • Finding images and multi-media for presentations.

A teal and purple advertisement for a donation drive for the Renewal House. There is a message that reads “together we can fulfill the needs of victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.” There is an image of personal hygiene products and 3 hands raised in the air with a teal awareness ribbon for sexual assault awareness month. Text below the images read “donate now” and a list of accepted items includes shampoo, conditioner, toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, deodorant, paper towels, toilet paper, and over the counter medications such as acetaminophen, ibuprofen, benadryl, and pepto bismuth. At the bottom of the advertisement it states collections will run from Monday, April 16th to Friday, April 26th and donation collection boxes can be located in the Health Sciences Library at Clarkson Hall and in the Student Center (1st floor) and ERC (1st floor). The advertisement was created by the Clarkson University Physician Assistant Studies Class of 2024 and the program’s logo is in the bottom left hand corner.
