Commencement 2019 is almost here!
Clarkson University Commencement ceremonies will be held this Thursday, May 9 at 6 pm (Graduate Ceremony) and Saturday, May 11 (Undergraduate Ceremony) at 2:30 pm . Both ceremonies will take place in Cheel Arena
GENERAL INFO
Graduate Ceremony
· 6:00 p.m. start
· No Procession for the Graduate ceremony on Thursday. Faculty DO NOT wear regalia unless sitting on stage and hooding Ph.D. or DPT students. Faculty not hooding will have a reserved section on the floor for seating.
Undergraduate Ceremony
· 2:30 p.m. start (Procession starts 2:05-2:10pm)
*ALL faculty participants will wear formal regalia.
· Arrive by 1:45 pm by the faculty area, which is the sidewalk closest to Cheel by the back entrance (A procession map is attached for your reference). Procession will start at 2:05-2:10 p.m. Stage party will robe and line up by Cheel 221. (Events office).
*If it rains, only the stage party will process in and faculty not in the stage party will take their seats in the sections directly behind the stage.
Both ceremonies will have a reception immediately following the ceremony. The Graduate Commencement reception will be in the Plane Atrium in CAMP and the Undergraduate Commencement reception will be on Cheel lawn under the tent. If it rains for the Undergraduate reception, it will be moved to the Plane atrium in CAMP and the Student Center.
RENTED REGALIA
If you rented regalia, regalia will be available for pick-up at the University Bookstore starting next week during their regular business hours. Payment for renting regalia is due at time of pick-up. You are responsible for picking up and returning rented regalia. If you missed the deadline to order regalia, please let me know.
There will also be a hospitality area set up in Club 99 with sandwiches, beverages and snacks from 11:30-4pm for all faculty and staff.
Regalia is required for all stage party and all faculty for the Undergraduate ceremony. Procession details attached.
