Twenty faculty members will be named professors emeriti at Clarkson University’s spring 2019 commencement on May 11. They will be honored for exemplary service to the University, totaling more than 600 years in all.
The following professors will be honored:

Larry D. Compeau, Reh School of Business, 28 years of service
Robert Dowman, Psychology, 31 years of service
Stephen D. Farina, Communication & Media, 31 years of service
Dan V. Goia, Center for Advanced Materials Processing, 18 years of service
William Karis, Communication & Media, 35 years of service
Ronald S. LaFleur, Mechanical & Aeronautical Engineering, 31 years of service
James Lambrinos, Reh School of Business, 40 years of service
Richard McCluskey, Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering, 42 years of service
Levon Minnetyan, Civil & Environmental Engineering, 41 years of service
Somendra Pant, Reh School of Business, 22 years of service
Richard E. Partch, Center for Advanced Materials Processing, 54 years of service
Leslie Russek, Physical Therapy, 22 years of service
Lawrence Schulman, Physics, 34 years of service
Alasdair Turnbull, Reh School of Business, 15 years of service
Peter R. Turner, Institute for STEM Education, 17 years of service
William Vitek, Humanities & Social Sciences, 32 years of service
Sheila F. Weiss, Humanities & Social Sciences, 38 years of service
Steven W. Yurgartis, Mechanical & Aeronautical Engineering, 31 years of service
The late James S. Bonner is being posthumously recognized with emeritus status. Bonner was a graduate of the Class of 1977 and was the Chief Research Officer for Clarkson University’s Beacon Institute for Rivers and Estuaries for 12 years. He lost his battle with cancer in late March.
