The Clarkson University Office of Information Technology will upgrade Moodle from 3.3 to 3.6. on June 26, 2019 from 4:00 AM – 7:30 AM EST. Moodle will be unavailable during this time. End users can anticipate course information will be available following the upgrade
Moodle 3.6 Highlights:
Moodle Dashboard Customizable which means improved management of user course information. Users can now use the Course Overview Block to sort courses (All, In Progress, Future, Past, Starred, or Hidden), filter and star courses for a more customized experience. Additional options include Recently Accessed Courses, Recently Accessed Activities, Starred and Timeline blocks now available for users to add to their Dashboard.
Introducing Tours Moodle users will soon see pop up text boxes (called Tours) containing guiding information. Tours are used to highlight news items and features and are designed to help the end user navigate Moodle. A tour automatically appears when you log in to Moodle and then they disappear once you’ve successfully viewed them. We are looking forward to improving service to end users with timely, info sharing opportunities with this tool.
Echo360 now better in Moodle We’ve installed the latest plugin from Echo which means improved playback performance and more options for embedding video created and/or housed in Echo. Students too can create/publish video with Echo and submit as assignments all in Moodle! More from Echo360
