OSL & CUB invite students to an Open Talent Night: Spoken Word. This will be held in the Student Center MPRs on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 from 7-9p. This event is free to attend, and the first 50 attendees will receive a free beverage and hors d’oeuvres. Mark your calendars and come support your peers while they’re on stage!

Spoken word is a piece of creative writing that is best delivered through performance, so it can be a story, poetry, a rap, or some combination. It focuses on the aesthetics of word play and intonation and voice inflection. Watch the following videos for tips on composing a Spoken Word performance:
