Spirit Week is nearly upon us! This year’s theme is GAMES! Spirit Week runs from Monday, October 7th through Friday, October 11th. Participate in the activities below to get a chance to win a Spirit Week t-shirt!
Epic Gamer Moves Monday (October 7)
- Free stuff: Grab a video game sticker, button, or decorate a video-game-themed cupcake in the Forum from 11a-1p!
- Activity: Smash Bros games with CUGI from 11a-1p in the Forum!
- Competitions:
- Sign up for the video-game-themed hall decorating contest here. Judging is at 4p. Participants get points for First Year Cup and winners get double points!
- Student organizations: Sign up to participate in the window-painting competition at the Student Center Desk starting Monday, September 30th. Free window paints are provided, first-come, first-served! The winning organization gets 10 free Spirit Week game-themed shirts! Desk hours are M-Th: 12-8, F: 12-4, Sat: 2-10.
Tony Tuesday: Cosplay Day (October 8)
- Event: Tony Tuesday from 7-8:30p in the Student Center Forum. Tony Tuesday is the day students are invited to suit-up like President Tony Collins in order to compete for more than $10,000 in prizes, including a GRAND PRIZE of $1,000! One member of each organization is also invited to cosplay their favorite game character! Sign up your organization to compete here by Friday, October 4 at 8a (participating organizations must show up at 6:30p on 10/8 and send a group photo, suited-up, to studentlife@clarkson.edu by Monday, 10/7 at 7a.).
Workout Wednesday (October 9)
- Event: Outdoor games from 5:30-7:30p on Cheel Lawn (Walker Arena if inclement weather). Join President Collins and the Cricket Club for a game of Cricket, or join a game of Spikeball with Spikeball Club or Cornhole with Cornhole Club! Newbies are welcome to come and learn how to play! We are also working on a location for games of Four Square!
Throwback Thursday (October 10)
- Activity: Play your favorite throwback board games like Operation and Candy Land in the Forum from 11a-2p.
- Competition: Create a solid game or a digital game to be judged by Ignite staff in the Ignite Game Jam! One solid-game winner and one digital-game winner will each win a special Ignite prize, to be announced soon! Questions? Email Ann Barrett.
- Event: Game Night in Moore Lounge from 7-9p. Enjoy board games, card games, snacks, and free t-shirts!
Fun Freebie Friday (October 11)
- Activity: Stop by our table from 11a-1p to get a free travel-sized game, play or grab a puzzle game or Soduko to-go, or enjoy some adult coloring!
