Dear Clarkson Community Members,
This is your final reminder to nominate your most prominent campus leaders. Annually several awards, described below, are available to recognize leaders and organizations at Clarkson. The nomination period is open until December 6th. Please take a few moments to nominate a student, faculty member, or staff member for a Phalanx Award! This is your chance to think of individuals and groups who have made a difference at Clarkson. Nominate them for the recognition they deserve by filling out the Google Form below.

Descriptions:
The Distinguished Service Award: This award is presented to the campus department or organization that has been recognized by CUSA or University administration. This group will be selected on the basis of service above and beyond the activities for which it has been established. This service shall be of significant benefit to the Clarkson community and/or the surrounding area.
The Commendable Service Award: A limited number of Commendable Service Awards are presented annually to freshmen, sophomores, juniors, seniors, graduate students, faculty, staff, and community members who have demonstrated quality in service to their area/organization. The award candidate should be a well-rounded individual who excels in all aspects of the university’s life and is especially dedicated to serving their organization or Clarkson at large.
The Commendable Leadership Award: This award is presented to juniors, seniors, graduate students, faculty, staff, and community members who have demonstrated outstanding leadership abilities and quality participation in organizations associated with Clarkson and the Potsdam community. The award candidate should exhibit exceptional leadership qualities and the versatility to balance all aspects of the university’s life. The new Phalanx members are selected from the group of Commendable Leadership award recipients.
Phalanx is the highest leadership honorary society at Clarkson. Induction into the society will occur during the Clarkson Recognition of Excellence Weekend. Inductees into Phalanx are those juniors, seniors, faculty, or staff that have also received the Commendable Leadership Award.
