MTEC-20-06-MOM Proposers Conference

The Medical Technology Enterprise Consortium (MTEC) is pleased to announce the date and time for the Proposers Conference for solicitation number: MTEC-20-06-MOM. The Proposers Conference is a virtual webinar format that provides potential Offerors the opportunity to interact directly with both MTEC and the Military Sponsor related to this specific funding opportunity. The flow of the Proposers Conference is as follows. First, MTEC provides an administrative overview of the solicitation. Second, the Military Sponsor provides an overview of the technical requirements of the solicitation. Finally, all attendees are invited to anonymously type in questions into the webinar’s chat function, which are answered verbally and live by the appropriate presenter from MTEC or the Military. We highly encourage anyone interested in this funding opportunity to listen in and/or ask questions. The Proposers Conference typically lasts between 1 and 2 hours.

MTEC-20-06-MOM – The Request for Project Proposals (RPP) entitled, “Military Operational Medicine (MOM) – Improving Protection through Metrics for Exposure to Blast, and Enhancing Cognitive Health, Performance and Psychological Health” is focused on the development of the following 2 prototypes in support of MTEC’s Military Operational Medicine technology focus area:

1) FOCUS AREA #1 (Whole Body Blast): Development of survivability criteria and vital organ injury metrics for the whole body when exposed to extreme blast exposures (e.g., IEDs).

2) FOCUS AREA #2 (Cognitive / Brain Health & Performance): Development and validation of personalized training or materiel (pharmacological/technological) approaches to build and enhance cognitive/brain health, performance and psychological health.
