Liberty League Cancels All Fall Competition and Championships Through Dec. 31

As released by the Liberty League Conference Office today, the Clarkson Athletic Department regrets to inform our student athletes that there will be no Liberty League Conference play or League Championships this fall.  The League will continue to explore the possibility of resuming league play this spring.  As was stated in the release, the “decision to cancel Liberty League competition does not preclude individual institutions from engaging in student-athlete activities…”  Therefore, the University and the Athletic Department, in conjunction with guidelines from the CDC, NYS and the St. Lawrence DOH, will continue to closely monitor the spread of the pandemic. If it is determined that student athletes can compete in a safe and healthy manner then limited contests may be played later this fall in accordance with NCAA rules and regulations.  Until that time student athletes and coaches will still be able to practice and workout on campus following CDC, NYS and St. Lawrence DOH guidelines.
