Family Day – Department/Office Sign Ups – October 22nd

Hello friends and colleagues!
On Thursday October 22nd the Office of Student Life will be hosting ‘Family Day’ in lieu of the normal Family Weekend and to celebrate the University’s Break Day. On this day, we will be hosting a series of events and ‘funtivities’ for students to enjoy in person. We will also be hosting events for students and their families/supporters to enjoy virtually throughout the day, ending the night with Daniel Martin’s virtual ‘Magic Night In’ where magician Dan Martin will teach attendees how to do their own magic tricks!
We are reaching out to ask if you and your offices would be interested in virtually participating in Family Day by doing one of the following:– Creating short videos (10 minutes or less) with information about your office/department that would be interesting to our student’s families-  Hosting a webinar session that can also be recorded and shared later.-  Hosting virtual ‘office hours’ on Family Day for families and students alike to be able to pop in and ask questions about your offices, services, etc.
These videos and webinars can be fun presentations made by the staff in your offices, testimonials from students about your services, a virtual office/website tour, or anything of the sort! You can see a slideshow that OSL created over the summer that we will again share with students and families by clicking the following link: OSL Informational Slideshow. You don’t need to recreate the wheel if you already have something planned or created! We will share these videos and office hour links with families/supporters through Facebook and other communications.
