Times Higher Education Needs YOUR Opinion (And so do our Graduate Programs!)

Times Higher Education’s annual Global Academic Reputation Survey is now out and they want to hear from Clarkson University experts! You will begin receiving an invitation from TimesHigherEducation@surveys.elsevier.com. Please check your inboxes (and spam folders) for this invitation.

The headline results of the survey will first be published in the form of the influential THE World Reputation Rankings in 2021, and will inform the outcome of the 2022 THE World University Rankings, published in September 2021. More information on the publication’s portfolio of rankings can be found here.  We know these rankings are important to graduate students considering different academic programs and research opportunities.

The survey also provides a rich picture of the changing global academic reputation of institutions, to inform THE’s editorial analyses, and data & analytics tools.

More than ever, reputation matters. It influences faculty when moving jobs and students deciding where to invest their future. It encourages funder investment and the formation of new research collaborations. International students are especially attuned to specifically international rankings like THE and QS, which can influence the size and quality of our applicant pools.

The survey relies on those best placed to understand excellence in teaching and research – academics themselves.

Uniquely rigorous and balanced, it is available in 14 languages and distributed and analyzed to reflect the actual distribution of scholars throughout the world, based on the latest United Nations data.

The survey is strictly invitation-only; Universities cannot make nominations or supply contact lists, and individuals cannot nominate themselves for participation.

Please keep your eyes out for an invitation. The survey will remain open until February 2021.
