COVID-19 Read: Day 3 of Precautionary Self Quarantine – Update on Positive Cases

Included in this communication:

  • Update on positive cases
  • Golden Knights Rise Innovation Challenge
  • Pharmacy Visits
  • The NYS Vaccination Site Has Opened Today for Persons with Underlying Health Conditions to Schedule an Appointment

Golden Knights,

We have had seven new cases reported to us since yesterday’s communication.  These were all from members living off campus, including individuals in quarantine.  We wish them all good health.

Thank you to everyone doing your part to stop the spread by adhering to this precautionary self-quarantine of the campus and having a quiet Valentine’s Day online.

Please check your email from earlier today about the special Golden Knights Rise Innovation Challenge as a fun in-quarters activity that will further build on the diligence and mindset that differentiate Clarkson graduates!  The first challenge will be issued at 8am on Monday, February 15 with a new one coming every day!

From some common questions coming in from campus members:

  • Prescription pick up is considered the same as a medical appointment.  The objective of taking the precautionary quarantine is to eliminate community exposure so when possible, drive-through service such as what is available at the local Kinney’s and Walgreen pharmacies is a good option.  If you need assistance getting to a pharmacy or medical appointment, please email studentaffairs@clarkson.edu.
  • Vaccination is considered the same as a medical appointment.   The NYS Vaccination site opened early for persons with underlying health conditions to schedule an appointment.  See yesterday’s announcement if you want more information.
