Case Updates

With public health representatives, the University Care Team Members  are currently supporting 21 students with active cases of COVID-19 and 68 completing mandatory quarantines on and off campus. Two students also reported positive test results to us today from off-campus testing.

Vaccination Updates

This past weekend, the Johnson & Johnson vaccine was approved for usage in addition to Pfizer and Moderna’s vaccines. Many Clarkson alumni have been working around the clock in these companies in response to the pandemic.

As of today, the NYS mass vaccination site at SUNY Potsdam also has received additional allocations of vaccine and appointments are available as early as tomorrow.  Please go to this site to assess eligibility on the NYS phased-approach to distribution and to make an appointment:  https://am-i-eligible.covid19vaccine.health.ny.gov/   More information about vaccination in St.Lawrence County, including additional clinic locations, is at:  https://www.stlawco.org/Departments/PublicHealth/COVID-19Vaccine

Liberty League Spring Sports

Liberty League commissioner Tracy King has announced that the league’s Presidents Council has unanimously agreed on a plan for a return to athletics competition this spring. Under the plan, Liberty League competition will begin no earlier than the weekend of March 26 with competition predominantly against league member institutions. Student-athletes and team personnel will adhere to a rigorous COVID-19 testing protocol in order to ensure a healthy and safe environment for competition.  See Clarkson’s release here:  https://clarksonathletics.com/news/2021/3/1/liberty-league-announcement-on-spring-competition.aspx
