On Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at 4pm we are pleased to host a “A Conversation on What are Your Rights When Approached by Law Enforcement.”


Please join a conversation with Attorney Rosemary Phillips JD about  your rights when approached by law enforcement.  Ms. Philips has spent most of her 30+ year legal career in St. Lawrence County with roles spanning multiple agencies and legal perspectives. 

She is now a Lecturer in the Legal Studies Program at SUNY Canton and has a private legal practice.  She most recently finished multiple terms as Town of Canton Justice and has served in the past as Assistant District Attorney for the County, as an Assistant Public Defender for the County and as a lawyer for North Country Legal Services.  She is also a past town councilmember for the Village of Canton.  She has a BA in Psychology from Western Washington University and her JD is from Franklin Pierce Law Center in Concord, NH.
