COVID-19 Read: Case & Quarantine Update | Most Campus Members Now Eligible for Vaccine in NYS, inclusive of out-of-state students

Golden Knights,

COVID-19 Case & Quarantine Update:  The University Care Team Members had three new positive cases of COVID-19 reported to them today.  They are supporting 12 students with an active case and we have 2 employees also in isolation protocols.   Thirty-five students on and off campus are in quarantine as mandated by public health.  We wish all a return to good health.

Please stop the spread by continuing to follow the protocols that keep all Golden Knights healthy and safe.

Vaccine Eligibility Open to 16+:  As of today, all members of our Clarkson community who are 16 years of age and older are eligible to be vaccinated with no other eligibility criteria required. Students who are not New Yorkers are eligible and can use their Clarkson address and take their Clarkson ID card to the vaccination clinics.  There are ample appointments available for the Pfizer Vaccine at the SUNY Potsdam Vaccination Site including tomorrow.  Please go to:  https://am-i-eligible.covid19vaccine.health.ny.gov/ to register and make an appointment.  You will be given a second appointment three weeks after your first dosage.  If students do not have a car to get to the SUNY Potsdam Vaccination Site, any student with a driver’s license may access a University fleet vehicle through Campus Safety & Security.  Please make your appointment first to get a time from the vaccination site.  Then contact Campus Safety at 315-268-6666 to reserve a vehicle to drive directly to/from the appointment only.  They will provide further instructions for how to return the car.  We will be cleaning/disinfecting the vehicles in between reservations.
