COVID-19 Read/Act: Vaccine Update

Students,

Thank you to students who completed an earlier survey about your interest in being included in an on campus J&J Vaccination Pod.  St. Lawrence County did not get a shipment this week and today, the CDC has currently pulled J&J vaccinations from the system.  See one of many articles here.

https://www.nytimes.com/2021/04/13/us/politics/johnson-johnson-vaccine-blood-clots-fda-cdc.html   If you have an appointment for J&J at a local pharmacy, those are also being pulled and you will need to reschedule.

Many faculty, staff and students have received the Pfizer vaccine that is available at SUNY Potsdam.  To make an appointment there, go to:  https://am-i-eligible.covid19vaccine.health.ny.gov/  — college students are eligible in New York regardless of what state you call home.  Use your Clarkson address and bring your Clarkson ID.  Pfizer requires a second dose three weeks after the first one so this is a good week to get this done.

Anyone with health related concerns is welcome to call the Student Health Center at 315-268-6633, shac@clarkson.edu.  As always, for any urgent or critical matters; emergency transport services, and the emergency room for evaluation would be encouraged by contacting Campus Safety & Security at 315-268-6666 or 9-1-1.

If you have any questions about this communication, please contact clarksonhr@clarkson.edu (employees),  studentaffairs@clarkson.edu (students) and/or me.
