COVID-19 Read: One dose J&J Vaccine Starts May 8 at SUNY Potsdam’s Maxcy Hall for Walk-Ins; Vaccination leads to no required quarantine; Case & Quarantine Update

Starting on Saturday, May 8th, you can get the Johnson & Johnson vaccine on a walk-in basis at the Mass Vaccination site at SUNY Potsdam’s Maxcy Hall from 8am to 6pm dailyany student who needs to stay an extra day after final exams to get their vaccination should contact reslife@clarkson.edu.  You must be 18 years and older for the J&J.   If you have had your first dose of Pfizer there, they are still doing second dose appointmentsAll Clarkson students and employees are eligible to get vaccinated in New York – bring your Clarkson ID with you. 

Who Doesn’t Have to Quarantine When Exposed to a Positive Case?  More than 800 students and 500 employees who have submitted their proof of completed vaccination  From our last positive case, 26 students were close contacts — 14 had proof of vaccination on file and didn’t have to do the 10 days of public-health mandated quarantine.  Here is how to upload your vaccination information:  

  • Students to MyCU:  Students can upload a picture of their COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card on myCU after the second dose of a two-dose vaccine or after a single-dose vaccine. Upload a picture of the front of the COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card (with all information visible) here:  https://go.clarkson.edu/studentvaccine
  • Employees to Peoplesoft-HR:  Employees are asked to upload a picture of their COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card in PeopleSoft HR after the second dose of a two-dose vaccine or after a single-dose vaccine. Case & Quarantine Update:  The University Care Team is supporting 10 students still in quarantine, two students with active cases that will finish this weekend and we had one new off-campus student positive case reported to us today.  We wish everyone good health.
