Commencement Information-Faculty

This year’s Commencement Ceremony is very different from the ones in the past. NYS Guidelines restricts the capacity of all in person inside events. That impacts many parts of our ceremony.

Schedule

Thursday, May 13-6:00 pm (Graduate and Undergraduate)
Saturday, May 15-1:00 pm (Undergraduate)
Saturday, May 15-4:00 pm (Undergraduate)
Saturday, May 22-1:00 pm (Class of 2020-Graduate and Undergraduate)

1. Faculty are not permitted to attend unless you request a seat. If you would like to attend one of the below ceremonies you must request a seat from Provost, Robyn Hannigan by noon tomorrow. There are limited spots available.
2. Any faculty that are approved to attend and be part of the stage party must wear regalia. If you need to borrow regalia, please reach out to Marcy Bennett
3. There will be no procession this year. The stage party and approved faculty will meet down at the side of the stage and walk onto the stage when the bagpiper plays.
4. The Stage party and approved faculty will recess out of the arena at the end of each ceremony.
5. If you are one of the approved faculty or stage party members, you will need to provide proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test within 72 hours of the event. Test and vaccine information needs to be sent to commencementtesting@clarkson.edu
6. Stage party and approved faculty will enter through the side door next to the main entrance 1 hour before the ceremony.
7. The robing room is located on the 2nd floor of Cheel. You are welcome to drop off your regalia in advance if you prefer. Once robed you will proceed down to the stage area.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,
