The International Center will host a Town Hall Discussion for the campus community to discuss visa challenges identified for our students entering this fall. This is scheduled for Wednesday, June 16, 2021 @ 12 p.m. and you can register here. While the U.S. is opening back up for International Travelers – there remain significant challenges for our students.  U.S. Consulates have resumed opening at a limited capacity,  therefore visa processing has been significantly delayed.  In addition, the Department of State has outlined a ‘National Interest Exception’ for those coming to the U.S. on F / J student visas, this however has not alleviated the delays in visa processing. 

The International Center is working closely with our students, academic programs and faculty advisors to assist them as best we can – however – students are experiencing delayed and/or cancelled appointments for the fall semester.  Challenges facing our students will vary country by country.
