Dear Clarkson Faculty and Staff,
As you prepare your syllabus, please consider offering your students extra credit to attend one of The Clarkson University Libraries workshops this fall. The series is kicking off with The research rabbit hole: Making the most of your searches Tuesday, Sept. 21 at 5pm via Zoom.
Description: Are you unsure where to start your research? Do you find yourself doing lots of unproductive searches that don’t find the sources you need? In this workshop we will talk about how to make the most of your library research. We’ll look at how to most effectively search Google Scholar and use the library databases.
Students can add a link to their Google calendar here.
Other workshops will include:
- The art of persuasion: Make your sources work for you, Tues. Oct 19 at 5pm
- Who wrote that? Being wary on the web, Tues. Nov. 2 at 5pm
- Is it shareworthy? Becoming a more sophisticated social media user, Tues, Nov. 16 at 5pm
Please consider offering your students extra credit to attend one or more of our workshops! Email Lisa Hoover at email@example.com to have attendance taken.
