Parking on Campus

Campus Safety & Security (CSS) welcomes everyone back to campus for the new semester!

We remind all faculty, staff, and students to always park in their assigned parking lots to protect the safety of the Clarkson community and control motor vehicle traffic and parking on campus so that University business may be conducted in an orderly manner. Also, don’t forget that all vehicles need to be registered in PeopleSoft and parking permits displayed on your rearview mirror. Parking permits can be picked up at Campus Safety & Security in Cheel once your vehicle has been registered. All the information you need can be found at https://www.clarkson.edu/sites/default/files/2022-08/Parking%20Brochure%20Final%208-15-22.pdf.

It is particularly important for everyone to understand the importance of leaving Service Vehicle Parking spaces open and available for Maintenance staff, and not parking in fire lanes. It is vitally important that Facilities and emergency responders can park their vehicles near the building where their service is needed. It may be your heating or plumbing that needs immediate attention! Parking far away from buildings may also cause staff to carry heavy equipment for long distances, risking their health and safety.

Clarkson CSS will be enforcing parking regulations using electronic parking citations. Citations/Warnings will be emailed to your student or staff @clarkson.edu address. A citation notice will also be placed on your windshield to show that it has been cited and to prompt you to look at your email for further information.

Please email safetyandsecurity@clarkson.edu if you have any questions.
