DEI Mandatory Training and Professional Development Announcement

Dear Clarkson Community (All Faculty and Staff),

We will  continue our  Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion training and professional development through our Human Resources and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Offices.

  • This year’s mandatory online training will focus on ADA compliance and improving access and understanding around disability (Content release date 9/19/2022).
  • In addition to the mandatory training, we will ask employees to complete 2 other DEI-focused training or professional opportunities.
    • They can be from a series of DEI professional development opportunities offered by Clarkson
    • Or employees can submit for review and approval DEI-focused professional development opportunities they completed from July 1, 2022 – June 30, 2023.[Submission Form]

Doing so allows our faculty and staff to be able to select certain areas of training they would like to receive more knowledge on, or in areas found relevant to their positions.

We will continue to work on identifying specific opportunities with the different units and schools represented on Clarkson University’s campuses. A separate email will be sent with an online link for the training required of all employees for this year.  And the following events will be advertised individually to the campus community.
