Moodle 4.1 Update in 2023

Moodle Roundtable Series Continues

Last month, the Office of Information Technology (OIT) announced plans to upgrade Moodle from 3.11 to 4.1 in the first half of 2023. To help explain the changes that are coming, the project team is hosting a series of virtual informational sessions for faculty, staff and students. Tune in to the next Moodle Roundtable: February 8, 2023.

Project Impact:

The project will begin to impact Summer 2023 term courses, with all courses in subsequent terms to follow. The new version brings significant feature improvements to site navigation, dashboard, activity completion, course formatting and editing. Instructors and students will want to become acquainted with the adjustments coming to the experience in Moodle.

Moodle 4.1 Update in 2023: Bringing you the latest in Learning Management System technology at Clarkson University.

In our first Moodle Roundtable, the team shared details of the project plan including timeline, process, testing and impacts to instructors and students. The series continues on Feb 8 as we dive deeper into changes that are coming. We’ll discuss impacts to non-term courses in Moodle, preview updates to tools, give an update on user interface (UI) progress, and discuss some of the more sustainable approaches of data management that are coming.

For a smooth transition for faculty, staff and students, additional details and support will accompany each step. It is important to stay informed. Read below for ways to be more informed and to get involved.
