Clarkson’s Shipley Center to Co-Host “Point Positive 101” Workshop & Pitch Event Friday

We all have great ideas for new products or businesses that could change the world, or at least our own lives.  But how does that idea get turned into reality? The North Country Innovation Hotspot Program at Clarkson’s Shipley Center and Point Positive, an angel investor group founded in Saranac Lake, are joining forces to help provide answers to that question!

Join the Shipley Center and Point Positive for a day of workshops aimed at emerging entrepreneurs and angel investors on Friday, July 13, 2018 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Heaven Hill Farm, 302 Bear Cub Lane, Lake Placid, NY. The day will culminate with a pitch event, where up to 3-4 teams of entrepreneurs will compete for prize money and a chance to present to Point Positive’s Member Investors at their Summer Pitch Event on Friday, August 3rd.

If you’ve ever considered becoming an entrepreneur or investing in a startup company, this event is for you!  Prospective entrepreneurs will have an opportunity to learn about the early steps they must take in order to turn their great ideas into great businesses.  Additionally, they will learn how to pitch their idea to potential investors, strategic partners and other stakeholders. Prospective investors can learn about becoming an angel investor and the various ways to evaluate a potential investment.

To register, go to https://pointpositive101.com/ register. There will be a $25 registration fee due at the door.
