In anticipation of the coming renovations to the front of Cheel Arena and to alleviate congestion, it is necessary for us to re-examine parking on campus.
The insert below shows, in general, the portion of the Cheel parking lot that will be affected by the renovation.
We are in the process of redistributing student parking to encourage parking in other student designated areas, and we are adding appropriate signage as needed. Specific student groups affected by these changes will be emailed with specific instructions.
As part of this project, we are reviewing the allocation of maintenance parking stickers to ensure these spaces are available for building systems maintenance and emergency personnel only.
Overall, these changes are intended to provide adequate and consistent parking for everyone on campus, as well as for the safety and comfort of all building occupants.
