Youth Outreach Event: FIRST ROBOTICS Volunteers NEEDED!

WANT TO INVEST IN THE NEXT GENERATION? INTERESTED IN BEING A FIRST ROBOTICS VOLUNTEER?  Clarkson University will host TWO FIRST Tournaments this year! 
The Excelsior NY Regional FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC), “ROVER RUCKUS” Qualifier Tournament will be held at Clarkson University on January 12, 2019. 
The FIRST Lego League (FLL)”INTO ORBIT” Championship Tournament, will be held at Clarkson University on January 19, 2019.
You may volunteer for either or BOTH events!   We will need dozens of volunteers to make these FIRST Robotics youth tournaments a success. Technical and non-technical roles are available for all backgrounds.
 
Please “Register to Volunteer” ASAP! All volunteers will need to go through background screening in order to work with youth, and to be assigned their volunteer roles. The screening is free and easy, but in some cases, it can take up to a month to be approved. So please register as soon as possible!
We can’t do it without you, your colleagues, friends, and family! Please share this email with them.

INSTRUCTIONS TO REGISTER TO VOLUNTEER:

1. PLEASE REGISTER TO VOLUNTEER & INSPIRE HERE: https://www.firstinspires.org/ways-to-help/volunteer

 You will be prompted on how to complete your background check during this stage. This is fast, easy, and FREE!

2. AFTER creating your FIRST account, or logging in to your existing FIRST account:

  • Click on “Event Volunteering” on left

  • Click “FTC” and “FLL” filter buttons

  • “Zip”:  13699

  • Apply to the Jan 12th FTC and/or Jan 19th FLL Clarkson event, and select your volunteer role preference(s)
