Major William W. Coleman Memorial Award: Established through a gift by the late Mrs. Virginia Kent Cummins in memory of the heroism of her grandniece’s husband, this award consists of a sum of money for the best poem or essay on ethics: Individual Self-interest Versus the Common Good. The prize winner will be announced at the University Recognition Awards ceremony in April, and have their name inscribed on the Major William W. Coleman Memorial Award plaque in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences hallway. Send submissions tomgarcia@clarkson.edu by 5pm January 17th.
