Changes in appearance and workflows in Echo 360

Clarkson Echo 360 users will note upcoming changes in appearance and workflows in Echo 360 Home – coming week beginning 1/21/2019.

Echo360 is the technology platform commonly used by instructors to video record class lecture and share to students. Echo360 is popular for hosting video media and producing video tutorials. More

The new Echo360 Home replaces the existing Library and Instructor Dashboard. Users can expect no change to your course section landing pages linked within Moodle, or the other services we utilize with Echo like full length lecture capturing, media hosting, course enrollments and your earlier recordings (and their links) will continue as before.

Initially, users will find an all-new video library, to be followed by additional changes that build upon that library with new features.

The new library is a media-centric view of your content in the system, including videos and presentations. It should look familiar to current Echo360 users, but cleaner and exposing more information about content without needing to click on a details view. The Library can be sorted and filtered in many ways that will make content easier to find.

A more complete description of what’s coming in this recent release provided in this article by Echo360’s Resource Center and it may be helpful to view new vs old version.

Timed with this release, Clarkson administrators have enabled the ability for students to upload and share content with other Echo360 users in the Echo Library. This opens up new opportunities for students to utilize video resources with instructors and each other. More…

This announcement and more about Echo is available on the Teaching & Learning Corner intranet page.

We look forward to having these enhancements as they become available. We will continue to bring information about best utilizing the new features.–
