Greetings and Salutations,
Robert Fowler from Reachout of St. Lawrence County here. Reachout is the only local, 24hr. suicide and crisis information hotline in St. Lawrence County available seven days a week. Founded 40 years ago as a student run volunteer organization at SUNY Potsdam, Reachout has grown, and now covers the entire county of St. Lawrence. It is that volunteer spirit that sustains Reachout to this day. Every semester we “reachout” to the local colleges to spread word of this wonderful opportunity to help bolster students’ resumes with volunteer work, offer internship opportunities and provide students with real world experiences that may benefit them in their chosen field of study all whilst contributing to the health of the local community.
Below you will find information pertaining to our upcoming Spring 2019 volunteer training program. Please pass this information along to your students if possible. Reachout staff members are also prepared and would gladly present a brief in-house presentation to any class or department that is interested. Thank you for your time and any assistance you may be able to provide. If you have any questions please call anytime at 315-265-2422.
Best wishes,
Robert
