With the final weekend of league play at hand, Clarkson Women’s Hockey still finds itself in serious contention to earn a third straight ECAC Hockey regular season title. The Golden Knights, however, will need to win both games this weekend at Cheel Arena and have the out-of-town scoreboard go in their favor if they want to secure their fifth overall conference regular season championship.
Clarkson hosts 6th-ranked Princeton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday and Quinnipiac on Saturday’s Senior Day, beginning at 3:00 p.m.
The Knights are in third place in the conference standings, owning 30 points with a 15-5 ECAC Hockey mark. The Green and Gold are three-points behind league-leader Princeton. Clarkson, which has already secured a top four spot, is two points in back of Cornell in second place and one point in front of fourth-place Cornell.
Ranked 4/5th in the national polls, the Golden Knights are the only team in ECAC Hockey with 20-or-more wins, posting a 24-7-1 overall record.
