Check around your department! If you have items that have accumulated that really need to be thrown out, please find a safe, out-of-way location to pile them up! Please keep electronics separate from other disposables. Then, email Joe McGill, Fire & Life Safety Specialist, at jmcgill@clarkson.edu, to put your trash pick-up on the list. We will have staff on hand during Safety Days to pick it up.
Every six months or so, Facilities & Services, in cooperation with other departments across campus, focus resources on areas that need special safety attention: cleaning, decluttering, painting and inspecting for the safety of our staff and all CU constituents.
Our next Safety Days will be Tuesday through Thursday, July 23-25.
Please plan ahead: Every Facilities & Services staff member will be contributing to this project. We will be shutting down regular operations so that all available resources can be focused on this effort (Business Services, Maintenance, Grounds, Custodial, Environmental Health & Safety, and Projects). Please post a work request for any issues you may have during this time by going to intranet.clarkson.edu/facilities.
Campus Safety & Security will be answering our phone calls, so please limit your calls to urgent issues only. Thank you, Campus Safety & Security, for your support!
This effort will affect Mail and Shipping Services: Only afternoon mail and package delivery and pick-up is planned for these days. The Student Mailroom in the Student Center will remain open as will Shipping & Receiving in Downtown Snell Hall.
