Anna Brown has been appointed assistant professor of economics & financial studies at Clarkson University.
She received both her Ph.D. and MBA in accounting from Baruch College, City University of New York, and her bachelor of arts degree in French and Spanish literature from Wesleyan University.
Brown’s research interests are in international accounting issues, analysts, corporate governance, and debt contracting.
Her publications have appeared in the Journal of Accounting Research, The Accounting Review, and the Journal of Business Finance & Accounting. Brown has presented at conferences around the country and her work has been cited by Columbia University Law School’s Blue Sky Blog on Corporations and Capital Markets.
Brown has served as an ad hoc referee for many publications, including Management Science, Contemporary Accounting Review, Accounting Horizons and European Accounting Review. She has been the recipient of the John Elliott Teaching Award.
She previously served as an assistant professor at Idaho State University, Utah State University, and University of Connecticut.
