Prashant Hosur Suhas has been appointed assistant professor of political science at Clarkson University.
He received his Ph.D. in political science from Indiana University, his master of arts in diplomacy and international relations from Seton Hall University and his bachelor of arts in international studies from Graceland University.
Hosur Suhas’ research focuses on the determinants of states’ war-making capacity, international conflict processes, interstate rivalries, and Asian security affairs and South Asian security in particular. He is deeply interested in the effect of power disparity between states on different conflict outcomes such as rivalry maintenance, conflict escalation and peaceful versus coercive rivalry terminations. He also examines the effect of protracted conflicts on different dimensions of state capacity.
He has published in the refereed journals International Journal of World Peace and International Journal (Canadian International Council) as well as in review articles in International Journal and Strategic Analysis, in addition to conference presentations.
Hosur Suhas previously served as an adjunct professor at Eastern Connecticut State University.
