The Crime of Human Trafficking

The Crime of Human TraffickingTuesday, October 29th, 7:00pm, Clarkson University Student Center Multipurpose Rooms
Human Trafficking is seldom discussed and often overlooked, but it is a very real and prevalent issue today. Whether it be labor or sex trafficking, it is an active crime. The North Country, as a border region, is at the forefront of the issue.

On October 29th, 7pm, at Clarkson University, prominent officials of the Human Trafficking Task Force will be speaking on the challenges surrounding the prosecution of this crime and how to recognize it in our own communities. Among the speakers are:
Susan Gagnon
Managing Attorney,
Legal Aid Society of Northern New York

Carl J. Boykin
Director of Human Trafficking Prevention
NYS Division of Criminal Justice

Estelle Davis
NYS Department of Labor

Renan Slagado
Director of Human Trafficking Specialist
Worker Justice Center of New York

We hope you can join us for this opportunity to become aware of this issue and learn what you can do to help!
