Parkinson’s Awareness and Education Day, a day long seminar for people with Parkinson’s disease and their family, will be held on Nov. 14 in the Barben Rooms in the Cheel Campus Center.
This event is being organized by the Seaway Parkinson’s coalition and Clarkson’s PT department, with second year students assisting the day of as part of their neurological PT course.
There will be several guest speakers including Mathew Peters, a neuropsychologist from Johns Hopkins; Rebecca Martin PT, DPT, a Board Certified Specialist in Neurological Physical Therapy and faculty member at Clarkson University; Sarah Collins MS CCC-SLP Speech and Language Pathologist; Samantha Jones, St. Lawrence Hospice and Palliative Care; and Bing Thomas from Healthy Way, Massena.
Registration will start at 9:30 and the seminar will go until 3. We will provide lunch.
