WANT TO INVEST IN THE NEXT GENERATION? INTERESTED IN BEING A FIRST ROBOTICS VOLUNTEER?
Clarkson University will host TWO FIRST Tournaments in SPRING 2020!
- The FIRST Lego League (FLL), “CITY SHAPER” Championship Tournament, will be held at Clarkson University on February 1st, 2020. (Snow Date on February 8th)
- The Excelsior NY Regional FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC), “SKYSTONE” Qualifier Tournament will be held at Clarkson University on February 29th, 2020.
We will need dozens of volunteers to make these FIRST Robotics youth tournaments a success. Technical and non-technical roles are available for all backgrounds. You may volunteer for either or BOTH events!
Please “Register to Volunteer” ASAP! All volunteers will need to go through background screening in order to work with youth, and to be assigned their volunteer roles. The screening is free and easy, but in some cases, it can take up to a month to be approved. So please register as soon as possible!
We can’t do it without you, your colleagues, friends, and family! Please share this email with them. Please follow the instructions below for how to register to volunteer.

You will be prompted on how to complete your background check during this stage. This is fast, easy, and FREE!
2. AFTER creating your FIRST account, or logging in to your existing FIRST account:
- Click on “Event Volunteering” on left
- Click “FTC” and “FLL” filter buttons
- “Zip”: 13699
- Apply to the February 1st FLL and/or February 29th FTC Clarkson event, and select your volunteer role preference(s)
