Today we are conducting a post consumer food waste audit in the Ross-Brooks Dining Hall. We already collect pre consumer food waste from Ross Brooks and send it to the Anaerobic Digester. It’s difficult to have the quality control needed for the anaerobic digester when it comes to post consumer food waste. We will be composting what we collect today. This is to prepare for a food waste diversion law that was passed by NYS.
