Hillel will be doing a Hamantaschen Sale on Monday March 9th and Tuesday March 10th from 11am-2pm in the Student Center. During the Jewish holiday of Purim, we commemorate the saving of the Jewish people from Haman, the Achaemenid Persian Empire who wanted to kill them, so we eat a triangle shaped cookie called Hamantaschen which resembles the triangle shaped hat that it has been told he wore. Hamentashen is a shortbread cookie with a filling in the center which can be chocolate, poppy seed, or fruit flavored. We will be selling chocolate and raspberry Hamantaschen!
