The 2020 Graduate and Undergraduate Commencement ceremonies will both be held at Cheel Campus Center on Thursday, May 14 at 6 p.m. (Graduate) and Saturday, May 16 at 2:30 p.m. (Undergraduate).
Details, RSVP and regalia information is below. Commencement is a momentous occasion and signifies a great achievement! A reception will be held on campus following each of the ceremonies.
Thursday, May 14-Graduate Ceremony (No tickets needed)
5:15 p.m. Doors open to Cheel Arena for all guests
5:30 p.m. Graduates seated in their assigned seating section
5:45 p.m. All guests with seating tickets should be seated
5:50 p.m. Faculty and Stage Party Procession begins moving
6 p.m. Graduate Commencement Ceremony (Master’s & Ph.D.s) begins
Directly Following Graduates’ Reception in CAMP Atrium
Regalia is required for all stage party and only the hooding advisors.
If you are attending the Graduate ceremony but not part of the stage party or an advisor hooding one of your students you will not be required to wear regalia.
Saturday, May 16-Undergraduate Ceremony
1:15 p.m. Doors open to Cheel Arena for disabled guests and their escorts
1:25 p.m. Doors open to Cheel Arena for guests with floor tickets (first come, first serve)
1:30 p.m. – The student procession will form at outside on Cheel lawn alongside CAMP, between the Student Center, and the arena. If there is inclement weather, there will be no procession and students will find their seats inside Cheel Arena.
1:35 p.m. Doors open to Cheel Arena for guests with reserved tickets
2:05 p.m. Student, Faculty and Stage Party Procession begins moving
2:30 p.m. Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony begins
Immediately Following Graduates’ Reception on Cheel Lawn
Regalia is required for all stage party and all faculty for the Undergraduate ceremony. Procession details will be sent at the end of April.

For those of you that are not comfortable registering online, please feel free to fill out the attached form and return it to my office (Box 5601) by March 1.
All Undergraduate Commencement participants will wear formal regalia.
You may wear your own or rent a set from the University Bookstore.
If you are undecided about your need for regalia, please order it, as there will be no charge for rented regalia that is ordered and not used.
Regalia will be available for pick-up at the University Bookstore starting May 7 during their regular business hours. Payment for renting regalia is due at time of pick-up. You are responsible for picking up and returning rented regalia.
If regalia is not ordered by the above deadline, there is no guarantee that regalia will arrive in time for Commencement. Individuals placing their orders late are responsible for a $31.95 late order fee to cover expedited order processing and express shipping charges.
