Cross-Registration for Fall 2020 – exciting news!

I am pleased to announce an exciting change to the Associated Colleges of the St. Lawrence Valley (ACSLV) cross registration program, effective Fall 2020! The Registrars and Chief Academic Officers of the member colleges worked together with the Associated Colleges to develop and finalize new cross registration regulations that will make the program more accessible to students.

The Associated Colleges’ cross registration program allows students matriculated into a semester-based program at one of the four member colleges (Clarkson University Potsdam Campus, SUNY Potsdam, SUNY Canton, and St. Lawrence University) to take classes at another member college in order to improve the depth and variety of their academic program.

Beginning in the Fall 2020 semester, students will be able to count cross registered course credits towards their full-time status at their home institution. In the past, students were required to be enrolled full-time at their home institution before having the opportunity to cross register. This change should make it easier for students to participate in the cross registration program without overloading. Students must maintain full-time status (including their cross registered credits) to participate; part-time students, non-degree students, and students in quarter-based academic programs are not eligible for cross registration.

For more details regarding the cross registration program, and for a copy of the regulations and enrollment form, please visit the SAS website: https://intranet.clarkson.edu/student-life/sas/classes-schedules/cross-registration/, or reach out to the Registrar’s office at registrar@clarkson.edu.
