- NNY-YCC is a newly established Younger Chemists Committee (YCC) in the Northern New York-American Chemical Society local section. NNY-YCC is run by undergraduates, graduates, and staff from Clarkson, SUNY Potsdam, SUNY Plattsburgh, and St. Lawrence universities.
- NNY-YCC aims to connect young chemists in the region, address their needs in their professional progress, and enable them to be future leaders in their profession.
- We strive to provide opportunities and tools for professional development such as organizing scientific symposiums, industrial tours, and career fairs/tools so that students and young professionals can gain benefits and build a strong foundation towards STEM careers.
- Along with increasing awareness and enhancing public outreach activities, NNY-YCC intends to facilitate networking among senior and young chemists through multiple social and professional events.
