Welcome to the First Edition of “Your CUSA News”

Welcome to the first ever edition of CUSA News!

Since its formation, Clarkson University Student Association has sought best to represent and advocate for Clarkson’s student body. Each year we as students face new challenges and gather new ideas, this year will be no exception. There is unfortunately no guidebook on how best to navigate through our upcoming semester, but by facing it together we can make it as successful as possible. CUSA is choosing to move forward to greater transparency and community, weekly CUSA News will be our start.

Our new executive board along with all of our newly or re-elected senate board members want you to know what is happening at all of our CUSA Senate meetings and behind the scenes as well. Clarkson University’s Student Association or CUSA meets every week at 7 pm on Mondays. This meeting typically takes place in the MPR’s in the Student Center but due to restrictions this year, we will be conducting our meetings remotely. All are still welcome to attend as our meetings are open to everyone, including committee meetings which will have a set schedule in the near future posted on our Knight life page. If you are interested in attending any CUSA meetings please reach out to our CUSA Public Relation’s Coordinator, Bailee Underwood (underwbm@clarkson.edu). She would happily get you all the information you need to join our virtual meetings.

Maybe CUSA meetings aren’t for you? We want all students to have an equal opportunity to know what is happening on campus during our meetings. Below is a section labeled Keeping Up with CUSA. Here you will be able to find any information that was voted on or discussed in any of our meetings. We also encourage you to check out our meeting notes that will be uploaded to Knightlife for anyone to view.

Is your club or organization hosting an event that you would like to share with the Clarkson student body?
We want to help you publicize your event!
This semester more than even it is important that we maintain social connections despite the restrictions we face due to the corona virus pandemic. CUSA highly encourages your club or organization to host virtual events for the student body to attend. Not only can this help in attracting new members to your club, it can help everyone get through these difficult times we all are facing.
