RISE Faculty Workshop Starts Dec 1

Faculty can still complete RISE in 2020! Timed to help faculty prepare for Spring 2021 and beyond, the next RISE cohort begins December 1, 2020 (preview opens November 23 to work ahead if desired). Workshop modules and deadlines have been modified to avoid the University closure dates previously announced. All interested faculty are encouraged to enroll before 11/16.

About RISE: In April 2020, the Provost’s Office and the Teaching & Learning Corner announced the launch of RISE: Reframing Instruction for Success Everywhere – an online course design and delivery workshop experience for Clarkson educators. The RISE training initiative is Clarkson’s most inclusive professional development opportunity designed to prepare Clarkson faculty for the opportunity to teach online.

RISE Celebrates Completions: Since then, 178 or 38% of current faculty have earned a RISE completion certificate signifying they have engaged successfully in new tool explorations, drafting measurable course objectives, structuring online course modules, weighed in on feedback from faculty peers, explored suggested options for authentic assessments, and more. Congrats to all who completed RISE!

The RISE Challenge: To continue building a teaching community for digital transformation, our goal is to see all Clarkson faculty complete RISE by the end of 2021. To get there, all departments are challenged to increase completion rate by 5% in through RISE IV. In many cases, that equates to sending 1 or 2 faculty from your department to enroll. Departments encouraged to view completion stats and select delegates to enroll in RISE IV today!
