Clarkson Faculty Expertise Survey

Dear Clarkson Faculty,

The Office of Marketing & External Relation has put together a short 5-minute survey for you to complete to help us better promote you and your expertise to the media and to consider keyword tags for department web pages.  

This survey is simple: we ask you to select areas of expertise first by the University’s focus areas and then by media topic. These are broad areas that we are seeing frequent interview requests for experts and topics that are timely for the media. This includes things like healthcare, COVID-19, immigration, natural disasters, energy, supply chain, food, weather, etc.

We then ask you to go a bit deeper and select from a list of alphabetized keywords that define your research. Like 3D printing, environmental restoration, aerospace, wind technology, genetics, etc.  There is room at the end to add your own.  

The last thing we ask you to do is tell us in a simple sentence about your research. For example: “Joe Smith is an expert in substance abuse and cardiac disease, particularly binge drinking by young adults.”
