Stanford University has ranked several Clarkson University Professors as some of the top scientists across the world in a recent report. The report published in the prestigious PLOS Biology journal measures scientists across disciplines based on several factors including the career-long citation impact of their published research.
Ranked in 2020 were Silvana Andreescu, Goodarz Ahmadi, Weiming Wu, Evgeny Katz, John McLaughlin, Stephanie Schuckers, Devon Shipp, Philip Hopke, and Paolo Bollella and many other Clarkson Professors. Their expertise covers earth and environmental sciences, engineering, chemistry, physics and astronomy, information and communication technologies, and enabling and strategic technologies.
The study assessed scientists for career-long citation impact. For example, Ahmadi was first published in 1971.
