CRITICAL – Daily Check-in for All

Purpose:  Read and Act
From: Provost Hannigan

Dear Colleagues,
With in-person classes in full swing and our community returned to campus, it is absolutely critical that all members of our community who are on campus check-in.  For faculty and staff go to https://checkin.clarkson.edu/health.php.  Check-in is now a quick review and click.

For students, it is imperative that instructors remind students to scan in using the QR codes at each seat.

As you’re all aware, our ability to remain open and serve our students relies on our ability to support public health should there be a positive case on campus.  This relies on knowing who was on campus and, for students, who attended class and where they sat in their classes.

To give you a sense of how important it is that we all step up our efforts to ensure all check-in, we had 4625 expected check-ins yesterday (faculty and staff approved to work on campus and student check-ins in classes) but only 1602 actually check-ins.  The system is only effective if we use it and are able to demonstrate to public health that we can support contact tracing effectively.

So spread the word and help us show our Golden Knight values by checking in each day/class and reminding others to do the same.

Thank you.
Provost Hannigan
